Creating an Agent and Assigning to Customers


  • This article explains how to add an agent to your customers. An agent is an individual or company that represents one or more fashion labels.
  • You would need to firstly create a customer record of type 'agent' and then go into each customer and assign the required agent. When creating your sales orders, for the given customer, the required agent will automatically flow through to the sales order.
  • This is typically done to track agent commissions which will be pulled through your reports.  

Step-by-step guide


1. Go to the Navigation Panel, click left arrow and select Contacts



2. Click Add Customer button


  


3. Enter the agents details into the Customer Information pop up window.

  • Agents are organised within the Customer data base so it is a good idea to use the full agency name for ease of recognition (i.e., York Fashion Agency)


4. Select AGENT from the TYPE drop down field. Important - Agent type must be selected to ensure this customer record is treated as an Agent. 


5. Click SAVE 


6. To apply an Agent to a customer record select the customer name from the Customer Search field or from adding a new customer by selecting ADD CLIENT.


7. The Customer Information pop up window will open showing a selection of tabs - select the Financial tab



7. Choose an Agent  from the drop down list


8. If the agent receives a commission, enter this figure in the box to the right of Agent Commission on Sales % and select SAVE.
