Retail Sales Pad

This excel report provides one source for retail sales, closing stock, purchase orders received and outstanding.

The source table is the Merchandise Module Table (MMT). Data is inserted into this table via a CRON that is scheduled to run every 15mins for high volume retailers and every 24hours for low volume or pure-play online retailers.

The data is stored at a date-customer-style-colour-size level.

The Retail Sales Pad can be launched from the Product Module > Report > Retail Sales Pad

Notes:

  • field at the top right of screen is leftover from testing and allows the report to be run for a specific table

  • selecting the “i” in the top right will download an excel file explaining each field with an example

Parameters:

  • Select locations: ticked checkboxes will be stored and remain checked when the launch screen is opened next time

  • Select Retail Warehouse: this field is deprecated and no longer has any bearing on the report (it could be removed)

  • Select Period: user is encouraged to select complete weeks, Monday to Sunday, but the report will function if the From date is not Monday and/or the To date is not Sunday. It is important to be mindful of the limitations of Excel when selecting the date range. The report will generate as CSV. And while CSV files can hold more rows that Excel, Excel is likely what will be used to view the file and is limited to 1.046million rows… and really starts to slow down after 250k rows.

  • Consolidate by: sales and received purchase orders can be aggregated either by Day, Week or Month. Closing Stock and Outstanding Purchase Orders will only be presented for Sundays/End of Retail Week/End of Retail Month.

  • Display by: Data can be displayed at a style, style-colour or style-colour-size level. Adjusting this to provide required data can reduce the volume of data

  • Departments: This parameter can be used to filter results and minimise the volume of data
