How To Create A Return With A Receipt (Refund, Store Credit & Exchange)

  1. Select Returns from the home screen

     

  2. Once open type in the receipt number, click on the order and select the green Continue Return button

     

  3. A pop up window will appear with the store policy details:
    - The date of your sale will determine if it is eligible for a return (This is set up in your settings)
    - If the sale is eligible for a return then there will be a tick next to Refund and Exchange in the grey bars
    - If the customer’s request meets the store policy then proceed with clicking ‘Continue Return’

     

  4. Issuing A Refund
    - Once you click refund the bar will turn green
    - Click ‘Continue Return’ to open the return


    - Once the sale return is open select the red writing ‘Return’ on the item that you are wishing to issue a refund for
    - You will see that the item will appear in red and will be added to a new line below


    - In the bottom right corner in red it will show the amount being refunded to the customer
    - Click here to fill in the return details


    - This is where you can choose the following:
    If you would like to return stock to inventory
    Select the reason for returning
    Add a comment if necessary
    Select if you would like to issue a refund or store credit


    - Once you click Refund it will take you to a new screen where you will need to select the method of payment you will be returning the refund to


    - Once the refund payment method is selected it will populate the refund value and turn green
    - Select ‘Refund Now’ to issue the refund


    - Once the refund has been processed a confirmation pop up will appear as well as an option to email or print a receipt for the customer

     

  5. Issuing a Store Credit
    - Repeat the previous steps until you get to the option of selecting between refund and store credit


    - Once you select Store Credit it will automatically process the credit and the receipt pop up will appear so you can either email or print the receipt for the customer.


    - The credit will look like the below and will include the credit number at the bottom

     

  6. Processing an Exchange
    - Proceed with the previous steps until you get to the option of choosing between a Refund or an Exchange
    - Click Exchange and then select the Continue Return button


    - Follow the previous steps by selecting the red ‘Return’ wording on the product you are wishing to exchange. It will then highlight the return item in red and add it below.


    - Search or scan for the item you would like to swap the return for. Click on the size to add it to your exchange sale
    - If the exchange is the exact price then you will just need to click the bottom right button and no payment will be necessary but if a payment is required you will need to take the additional payment before you can proceed
    - You will be able to see there is a paid amount, value of the exchange and then what is owing


    - If the exchange is less than the original value then you will need to issue either a refund or credit note depdending on your policy.
    - This can be done by clicking on ‘Refund to Customer’ and selecting the required refund method
