How to create a Sample Order

The below steps follow how to create a sample order in the system. You will then be able to track your sample order using the sample tracking module.

1. Go into product search and select the style, styles or collection you wish to place for your purchase order.

In most cases you would group the sample PO by sample maker. Let's assume in this example all the below styles will be made by the same maker.


2. Click the button at the bottom that reads BULK SPO. 


3. A pop up will appear please enter the following fields:

  1. Enter the Sample Type. This can be entered in the initial set up with the Indigo8 Rep.
  2. Enter the Size in which you want the sample maker to make. We have an option for Full Size 
  3. Enter the Qty of how much you want to produce
  4. You can enter a comment in if needed per line item - usually these are notes for your sample maker
  5. Select the Sample Maker. Click the + beside it to add a supplier if needed. 
  6. Select the Trading Entity.This is the currency in which you are buying in. 
  7. Select the Ship Date. This is the date in which your sample CP will be used against. This represents when the goods will be shipped. 
  8. Select the Task List. This is selecting your CP Template

Click Generate Sample Order once all fields are entered 


4. This will create the Bulk Sample. This is a unique number that identifies this specific Sample Purchase Order. 


5. Click Show Sample Pdf.

This will produce the PDF in which you can send off to your supplier.

Important to note: The BID stands for Bulk ID which is the number for the whole order.

The SID column should represent the individual line item or style on the PO. 


Now that the Purchase Order has been created you can then start the sample tracking process.
