How to update Shopify Orders

You can edit your Shopify orders in Indigo8 and export the updates to Shopify

  • size changes

  • product changes for items of the same value

  • shipping address updates

Before you start making any changes, Put Order On Hold and Save so the warehouse doesn’t begin to pick/pack the order before you finish updating the order.

Product changes
Product changes can be completed when the order is in the FOR PICKING phase. Product change edits are restricted beyond this point as the warehouse has already begun picking the order.

Make your edit to the order → Allocate
eg. Customer ordered a 37, but wanted a 38

Click UPDATE SHOPIFY ITEMS
A loading screen will appear and show the status of the export/update

The Shopify order will be updated

You will see logs in Shopify in the order Timeline, that show the edits along with the user who exported the update

Take order off Hold and save to release to the warehouse for shipping.

Shipping address updates
Shipping address updates can be completed when the order is in FOR PICKING and IN PICKING phase. Address edits are restricted beyond this point as the warehouse has already printed the label.

Open the SHIPPING ADDRESS popup, edit the address and click Update Shopify

The loading screen will display the status

The Shipping address is updated in Shopify

There will be a log of the update in the Shopify Timeline

Take order off hold and SAVE to release to the warehouse for dispatch
