Creating Your First Collection
Usually when users enter styles into the system they like to group similar styles in a collection, also known as a line. For example, 2016 Winter - Block Colors.
Step-by-step guide
1. Select Product Search
2. Click New Line button at the top of the screen
3. A pop up window will open. You need to fill in text boxes with information about the line you're creating.
Please follow the below details as a guide, if you get stuck please contact an Indigo8 Representative:
Enter Line Prefix: This is typically an abbreviation of your season & your brand. If you are selling multiple brands it is a good idea to give your brand an abbreviation mixed in with the season that you're currently working on.
For example, say I am creating a collection for Spring Summer 2019 for Sandra Breeze. Therefore my prefix could look something like SB SS19.
Line Description: This gives a long name to your collection. If you name your collections this is a place to enter that in. For example if your collection is called Mesmerise or Spring Summer 2019.
Or Choose Line: This option allows you to add more items to your collection AFTER your collection has been created. More on that below.
Customer/Supplier: You can add these both on the fly. Depending on your business, a customer is typically used to define the creator of the goods. This is normally your business trading name.
A supplier is typically used when you are selling third party product such as Converse Shoes or Jbrand Jeans, you would select this as a supplier. Please note, this is a suggestion & if you have been told of a process to use please follow that.
You should be able to select your options. Select the appropriate option.
Season: Enter the season the styles belong to.
Product: You can leave this blank when you're first setting up your collection. Once the collection has been created you can then define the product category.
Division: This is defines how many brands your business sells.Normally this is a sub-brand, please select the appropriate division/brand.
Designer: This is normally the staff member who has created the products. Not a mandatory field.
Size Range: If you can leave this blank if you have a collection with multi size ranges on it. Otherwise you can select one size range which will update all styles.
Number of Items: How many styles you wish to create. Please note, you can always add / remove later if required.
Delivery Window: This is the delivery window in which you sell. The date that appears against the style will automatically appear on the sales order. This is not a mandatory field.
Add Default/Fabric, colour & size: We have an option to automatically pull a default fabric, colour & also size range. Speak to an Indigo8 Member to help you set this up if you want this option.
4. Click Generate. You will see your new line has been created
Or Choose Line: This option allows you to add more items to your collection. Please select the collection name, then all details should appear automatically.
Don't forget to enter the number of items! and hit save once done.
